Hi-Low

Hi-Low. It's a trend I happen to love. It has this really soft femininity to it which is so great (it's a look that has been lost but seems to be making a comeback!)  and makes it an ideal choice for spring and summer. It brings out every girl's (woman too!) warm and youthful side. It's definitely easier for younger generations to wear but when done tastefully all generations can create a simply stunning look!

Here are a few of my personal favorites!

Butterfly Chairs

Creating a unique and comfortable living space is always essential. Designing a room to be efficient yet warm and welcoming can be a challenge. Practically requires us to have a least two or three chairs handy. One of my all-time favorites is the butterfly chair, a comfortable chair with a sense of style. They are perfect for a den, personal study, or a bedroom. Now they come in so many different colors and patterns that it is easy to find ones that suit your taste. Also, if there comes a need where you need to move the chair to create extra space, well then butterfly chairs are your best friend. All you have to do is simply remove the cushion and fold up the metal base. And voila, it's done!

Maxi Skirts

Maxi Skirts are a girl's best friend in the summer, a great alternative to jeans, sweat, and really pants in general. Light breathable fabric makes it a wonderful option on a hot day. They're so versatile as well, wear it causal with chambray shirt and/or tank and then transfer it into the evening with a chiffon top and/or blazer.

Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate with Toffee Crunch Filling

Honestly, I have never cared much for Ghirardelli. I find their chocolate lacking for the most part. But on a recent trip to San Francisco, we stopped by the Ghirardelli Facotry and my cousin picked up a bar of this particular chocolate. And lets just say, I was very happy with what she chose. Definitely a chocolate worth eating and savoring. It is unlike many of their other chocolate because it has a milk chocolate filling as well the toffee which I felt gave it a creamier and richer texture.

Mini Chocolate Cupcakes

A simply wonderful way to satisfy those mid-day chocolate cravings. Despite being small in size, they pack good favor and rich moist chocolatey goodness. A must-have for any time of year.

Sugar Plums (Italian Prunes)

One of my favorite summer fruits is the sugar plum, a small plum with a flavorful fleshy inside. A fruit that definitely refreshing with its initial tang which fades into it summer sweetness. An important addition to your summer fruits list!

Unfortunately I was unable to do that second post like I promised. When trying to post earlier this week, I encountered some technical difficulties which made updating impossible.

Anyways, hope you all have a great weekend :)

Nailed It! July Sparkle

This month I decided to go all out color with my nails. I prefer wearing warm colors as they generally go better with my skin tone. The colors I chose this month were Sally Hansen's Diamond Strength Perfect Proposal, Poppy Love, and Cut the Cake! All three are gorgeous and together are a wonderful summer combination!
So sorry, I haven't posted in nearly two weeks! I missed two Five Favorites posts! All I can say is the past few weeks have been extremely hectic with sudden house guests and hosting dinner parties along with the daily hustle and bustle. However, you can count on at least two more posts this week. And hopefully many more to follow in the upcoming weeks!

What are your favorite nail colors this summer?

Photo Boxes: Memories and Organization

Organization is the key to success in many cases but not all of us are gifted with this special skill (myself included!). Keeping all your supplies and belongings organized can sometimes be a headache and if the system is complicated and hard to maintain , you already know it's not going to last very long.

I love these cute photo boxes, some of which I use for photos and the other for art supplies, stationary, office supplies, and all other trinkets. The are so unique now too, coming out in a variety of funky colors and shapes. So, the next time you need to get organize, check these out! They won't disappoint.

What are your organization tips?
