Hope you all are enjoying your summers! As always, comments, questions, and suggestions are looked forward to :)
So palazzo pants were something I didn't wear for the longest time, even though they've been on the fashion scene quite a bit in recent years. Personally, I wasn't (for the most part) a fan of wide legged pants; they just did not seem to fit with my style. But a couple of months ago, I came across a floral black pair and found that there are some occasions where palazzo pants are the way to go. Since then, I have been thinking about incorporating more wide legged pants into my outfit inspiration boards and to bring in more prints into my wardrobe. I have included a few above that I really liked; my favorites are the ones in the middle column and middle row. But I also really like the look of the first outfit; it's a soft subtle look that I think would be really fun to recreate.
Hope you all are enjoying your summers! As always, comments, questions, and suggestions are looked forward to :)

It's a cool summer day (can't tell you how long I've waited for one of these!) and it feels one I'd like to spend near the coast and enjoy the sea breeze and last days of summer before another academic year begins. While this outfit is a bit more casual than my usual style, I really like it. The color combination was what I was pleasantly surprised by when I was putting it together. I love the bright yet somewhat subdued seafoam green in the top and the shoes (the latter of which would probably get ditched on the sand!)and how nicely it pairs with the soft shell pink! Since it's a chilly day, the long sweater cardigan seemed appropriate. And to make the outfit more "me" I had to add a simple ring and fun bag! The sunglasses too go with the color theme of the outfit and tie up the look. Now, I really wish I could wear this today! Maybe sometime soon.. Hope you all have a great Monday! Spring has sprung! Which means we can put the boots away and bring out all the fun and colorful sandals...Except, the rain is not quite ready to leave, so in the meantime, let's talk about denim shoes.
I bought my first pair about a year ago and since then have been searching for a higher heel for the warmer months. So above are six pairs I really like; all but #2 are high-heel open toe sandals. Speaking of number #2, what's your opinion on high-heeled sneakers? I like they're really cool, but know quite of few sneaker fans who say they defeat the purpose of a sneaker... #1 is the most like the pair I already have and is really great for school and longer work days because of the wedge heel. But, if you are someone who is very comfortable with stilettos, #3, #4, #6 are all great options. Going back to my search for a fun denim sandal for spring and summer, #5 is definitely my favorite! The medium shade of denim is summery and the bows add a simple feminine touch, making it perfect for casual summer outings. As always. all comments, questions and suggestions are welcome! Hope you all are having a good start to your week! And just like that it is already the tenth of December! Where did 2016 go?
We have been having a surprising cool winter this year; it has actually been cold! Well, by California standards anyway. Fashion-wise, it's been great, I have been wearing a lot of my sweaters that otherwise just sit around when the seasons do not change. And since it has been a while since I have actively styled sweaters, I decided to look for some inspiration and share it with all of you. As I have mentioned on the blog before, I love metallics! #1,2, 9 are great examples of how you can style metallic sweaters into both casual and dressy outfits. I also really like the idea of pastels in the winter, sometimes the constant mix of dark colors gets a bit boring. Pastel blue to me seems to be a very wintery color when styled well. It goes with the idea of snowy days and clear cold mornings. So now I need to find one..... What have your sweater favorites been so far this year? Hey guys!
Hope everyone's having a great week so far and that Fall 2016 has gotten off to a good start. Here, we have been alternating between fall weather, summer weather, and even some winter weather! It has been a very unpredictable fall thus far, especially weather-wise. For that reason, I have not been able to wear many fall outfits, most have been more summery of late. But, I think in the next week or so, fall should be settling it and I figured it was time to find some outfit inspiration for this season. #1 is one of my favorite color combinations for the colder months, but for fall I would probably have more red and save the mostly black version for winter. #2,3,4 are ones I would probably try to recreate as similarly as possible with minor tweaks because I really love the different elements of each outfit and the how well they come together. #5 and #6 are outfits I like because of the great color combinations. And finally, #6. That dress is gorgeous and I would love to get something similar because it totally fits my personal style! What kinds of outfits are you looking forward to/enjoying this fall? As always, let me know in the comments below! Hope you enjoy the rest of your week! I have created a clutch collection over the past few years and am always excited when I can incorporate one of them into an outfit. As a college student, a clutch isn't exactly a daily bag so occasions where I get to use one are quite exciting. Most of mine are neutrals and metallics (gold, silver, bronze, pewter etc.), but I think a one like # 10 would be so fun to style and wear (though for me, very impractical!).
Of the clutches I founded as inspiration, #6, #7, and #9 are my favorites. #6 has the classic black and white combination, but with a unique take on it with some gold and a little bit of fun geometric design; it would be a great staple to have! Cork is just so different and more expected of a shoe than a bag so I think that is a fun twist, and of course, snake print is one of my favorite patterns to style. Hope you all have a great week and are enjoying spring thus far! As most of you probably know, "casual" is not the best word to describe my style. I love to dress up and wear more dressy pieces most of the time. But occasionally, I do like to wear more relaxed and "chill" items, baseball tees being one of them. I really like the cut of baseball ties and was pleasantly surprised to see the different color combinations and prints that they come in. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get any recently. If anyone has a recommendation of where to get ones similar to those pictured above, please let me know.
As always, I look forward to hearing from all of you! Hope you enjoy the rest of your week and have a great weekend! Embellishments make everything a little bit better right? Well, at least in the world of fashion for certain people. Embellished denim shirts are a favorite of mine, particularly in the cooler months. My favorite denim shirt is one you have all seen on the blog before, a medium shade denim with pewter, silver and antique gold studs on the pockets. While the studs are not very bright or colorful, these little details are fun touches, that can serve as a substitute for jewelry and/or accessories when time or practicality is an issue. It is especially useful when creating outfits for school that are polished and put-together yet not too dressy.
Hope you all have a great week! As always, I look forward to hearing from you. Suggestions, comments and questions are always welcome! Hey guys!
So sorry I have not posted here so far this year! Since the new term began in school, I have been busier than I expected. Isn't it always fun when a class ends up being so much more work than anticipated? Anyways, hope 2016 is going well for all of you thus far! I have spent quite a bit on outerwear in the past few months (this past year actually) and am just beginning to realize why so many people love outerwear. Now to be honest, I still prefer wearing minimal layers (for comfort reasons) but we had a relatively cold December in California this past year so I was able to enjoy outwear for the first time in a while. Above, I have put together some pieces that I think would be great for any girl's outerwear collection. A printed windbreaker (#4) is practical yet fashionable especially in the wetter months. Also, we all have our hoodies (#2) and I think that a bright colored one (or two!) is a great way to insert color into the colder months. The rest of the jackets are technically not as practical but are still versatile! Would you guys wear a lace jacket? If so, how would you style it? Here are some "wintery" things that I'd like to add to my closet. In the footwear department, I have been looking for a pair of gray boots for a while now, but have yet to find a pair that is both practical and suits my style. As for the beige boots, I am not sure if taupe would be a better choice in terms of versatility. What do you guys think?
The teal faux leather jacket is absolutely gorgeous and would be such as great statement piece in the colder months, but I have yet to see one in person to determine whether or not I'd actually wear it. Denim skirts are making a comeback, or at least they were the last time I checked and would serve as a substitution for jeans. The lace red top happens to be one of my favorite "winter" colors and as you all know I love lace, so it's a pretty perfect combination. As for accessories, I need a new phone case, and love the ombre crystal effect on the one above. Blue stones have a snow-like quality about them and these stud earrings are a subtle way to incorporate them into any outfit. Lastly, I bought a rose gold midi ring with a similar leaf design a few months ago and thought that this silver one would be a nice addition to my ring collection. Hope everyone is having a great week! |
