It's Runway time!
Hey, welcome to Runway of Food, Fashion, Nature, and Design!
Sooo, whether it's best food in town, the outfit of the day, nature's daily wonders, or a design meant to inspire, it will be here.
I realized when comparing my blogs to others that my "About" page was too vague and lacking that personal touch. I hope this helps :)
I started RunwayFFND for a few reasons, mainly to have a place to share my interests and hobbies and talk to others about theirs. I am one of those people who literally has a TON of hobbies. The list really goes on and on. But I won't bore you with that right now.
Food: I am a major foodie, in a sense always have been. It was that along with the fact that I have very "high" standards for food( also super picky!) that I started cooking and experimenting with food when I was only eight or nine years old. Now, many years later, I have created my own set of favorite dishes I like to make as well as a list of ones I need to try and make on my own. That's another thing about me, I personalize almost every recipe I come across. It's a family thing, I guess. My love of cooking comes from my mother and grandmother, both who I am proud to say are absolutely amazing cooks! Both have told me so much of the art and (science!) of cooking and what it takes to make it work. For me, food's a big part of my life in the sense that, its not just about the eating but also the experience you have making it.
Fashion: When it comes to fashion, I'm tend to be a little weird? Unique?? I never really follow the trends and go with what's in and what's out and all that. I try to practical, sensible, and realistic, when it comes to my clothes. Key word being tries! I have a set style I go with for the most part and I generally stick to it. I wear what I like and what I know suits me. I classify myself as classically chic with a personal twist. I don't go all out crazy yet still manage to stand out in the crowd for several reasons. The most important thing to me when it comes to fashion, is that it has to be modest. Sticking to that is key when planning any outfit.
Colors are an area I venture through a lot, one I like to experiment with often and choose to change up looks and outfits.
So, I can be a bit bold, daring to wear bright colors, unique accessories, wild prints, and of course gorgeous heels! So when it comes to fashion, it's not about the trends, the brands, or the down-right insane prices, but rather finding a style that's all you!
Nature: As I mentioned in one of my early posts, nature to me is plants and scenery. I love gardening and all the rewards that come from it. Also, I enjoy photography and nature photography is easily one of my favorites because of the essence of calmness and peace that surrounds every picture. It's definitely a nice calming hobby when you think of the hustle and bustle of life, especially today. It is a nice time to relax, debrief, and really just stay in the moment. And of course, most importantly, be yourself.
Design: I feel that design can be so many things, which is what I love most. The variety of creative venues out there is just amazing. Design for me is crafts and arts at its height, at all levels in every way. From knitting to painting to building and everything in between. I enjoy all of those types of art. Artistic is one word that unfortunately cannot be used to describe me at least not in its general meaning. I wasn't blessed with any remarkable talents when it comes to art. (Which really is sad considering how much I love art.) However, that if anything only has made me more determined to make the effort to express my creative side. I still paint, draw, and doodle. I started knitting in middle school and haven't stopped since. It's such a great skill to have and hopefully will stay with me for many years to come. I have plans to learn how to crochet and sew, but that is still somewhat on the drawing board. I like building stuff from when I was little with blocks and Legos to actual terraces and things of that sort. That of course is thanks to my very talented Dad who happens to be extremely gifted when it comes to the trades and tricks of life.
RunwayFFND is really about being yourself and loving it! Living your life the way it was meant to be with your own personal style in every sense.
I hope you have enjoyed this and will stick around for many wonderful years to experience life through the eyes, ears, heart, and mind of RunwayFFND.
