Anyways, I hope you all are having a great summer! Any special plans for the weekend???
It's already August! I feel like 2013 is going by so fast, way faster than 2012. Or maybe, it's just me?
Anyways, I hope you all are having a great summer! Any special plans for the weekend???
Creating a unique and comfortable living space is always essential. Designing a room to be efficient yet warm and welcoming can be a challenge. Practically requires us to have a least two or three chairs handy. One of my all-time favorites is the butterfly chair, a comfortable chair with a sense of style. They are perfect for a den, personal study, or a bedroom. Now they come in so many different colors and patterns that it is easy to find ones that suit your taste. Also, if there comes a need where you need to move the chair to create extra space, well then butterfly chairs are your best friend. All you have to do is simply remove the cushion and fold up the metal base. And voila, it's done!
Maxi Skirts are a girl's best friend in the summer, a great alternative to jeans, sweat, and really pants in general. Light breathable fabric makes it a wonderful option on a hot day. They're so versatile as well, wear it causal with chambray shirt and/or tank and then transfer it into the evening with a chiffon top and/or blazer.
Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate with Toffee Crunch Filling
Honestly, I have never cared much for Ghirardelli. I find their chocolate lacking for the most part. But on a recent trip to San Francisco, we stopped by the Ghirardelli Facotry and my cousin picked up a bar of this particular chocolate. And lets just say, I was very happy with what she chose. Definitely a chocolate worth eating and savoring. It is unlike many of their other chocolate because it has a milk chocolate filling as well the toffee which I felt gave it a creamier and richer texture.
Mini Chocolate Cupcakes
A simply wonderful way to satisfy those mid-day chocolate cravings. Despite being small in size, they pack good favor and rich moist chocolatey goodness. A must-have for any time of year.
Sugar Plums (Italian Prunes)
One of my favorite summer fruits is the sugar plum, a small plum with a flavorful fleshy inside. A fruit that definitely refreshing with its initial tang which fades into it summer sweetness. An important addition to your summer fruits list!
Unfortunately I was unable to do that second post like I promised. When trying to post earlier this week, I encountered some technical difficulties which made updating impossible.
Anyways, hope you all have a great weekend :)
So, I had planned to post earlier this week, but the past few days turned out a lot busier than I expected! As of late, I have been really craving chocolate for some unknown reason (but then again I'm a complete chocaholic so, what's to wonder?) so I decided to make a list of my five favorites.
Raspberry Filled Lindt Milk Chocolate
This particular chocolate is my all-time favorite and has been for many years. I love the base of Lindt Milk Chocolate and unlike many other raspberry filled chocolates out there, this one has a cordial -like syrup rather than a raspberry creme. Unfortunately, few stores carry this particular chocolate, so I have to often go hunting for it and often times it's rather expensive. But, I suppose this marvelous combination of the raspberry and creamy chocolate makes up for that!
Quality Street Chocolate
Quality Street Chocolate is easily the best tin of chocolate you could ever buy. It literally has something for every chocolate lover out there. It makes in a rather large tin so it will last a while or just barely make it around the table at dinner with the family! My favorite is probably the Caramel Chocolate Finger, its kind of like Twix without the biscuit layer. The great thing about buying a box of Quality Street Chocolate is the variety of chocolate you get. Also, the colorful wrapping is great for presentation!
Lindor White Chocolate Truffles
Most white chocolates have this really fake taste almost like a awful butter with vanilla in it. For that reason, I never buy or eat it simply because it is not worth it. Lindor White Chocolate Truffles is the only one that I have tried and wanted to eat another one. It has a rich consistency and its taste is that of a chocolate but is unique as a white chocolate should be.
Chocolate Lava Cake
Chocolate Lava Cake is easily my favorite chocolate dessert(which says a lot considering I like practically every chocolate dessert out there!) It contains the elements of a perfect chocolate dessert. Warm chocolate cake, gooey rich chocolate fudge sauce, creamy vanilla ice cream coated with a hard chocolatey shell. Mmm, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. It's definitely a killer ending to a great meal or just as a little something special for an occasion worth celebrating!
Chocolate Fudge is a great dessert to have in house on a consistent basis, it's a a little something sweet without the commitments of a larger dessert (not to mention less guilt, which means more enjoying!). It is also nice if you're having a simple afternoon or evening with friends and you don't want to go overboard by still have something nice and classy as a sweet. The thing with plain fudge though it is does tend to get boring after a while, which I love adding one or two ingredients to give it a kick. Adding nuts such as almonds, walnuts, cashews, or a fruit such as dried raisins or berries is a great way to give the classic chocolate fudge a twist while still maintaining its original amazing taste. If you're feeling a bit daring you can go with more bold favors like chilies, intense citrus, ginger, and cinnamon. This basic dessert has so many possibilities which makes it all the better!
So sorry I didn't post anything else this week, it ended up being a lot busier than expected, hopefully though with summer getting closer I'll have more time to update!
Hope everyone has a great weekend :)
So many of the blogs I read have their Friday post about a few of their favorites things. I really liked the idea, it seems like a nice way to end the week. So hopefully, each Friday, I'll post five of my favorite things.
Wet n Wild Juicy Lip Balm
I started using Wet n Wild's Mega Mixers Lip Balm about 2 or 3 years ago. The lip balm was amazing, a really effective moisturizer and a shine that lasted a good 7or 8 hours. In two words, I loved it! So, I went looking around to see if Wet n Wild had any other similar products. So, a few days into my search, I found Wet n Wild's Juicy lip balm. And I bought the strawberry one first, and it's really great, with a awesome tint of color and shine along with the moisturizing factor. And it's also not at all expensive, at an average price of about $2.99, it's great even if you want to buy all four colors!
Liz and CO Gold Rosette Ballet Flats
I recently, well about four or five months ago, entered the world of ballet flats. It was rather nerve racking simply because I don't wear flats. Ever. I'm through and through a heels girl, but as of late I've developed a liking for this simple yet charming footwear. So, a few months into my ballet flats craze, I bought this gorgeous pair of gold flats. I love the color and the unique rosette in the front. It's a great way to simply dress up an outfit without the sometimes overpowering height and intensity of heels!
Black Skinny Jeans
I know, this may seem so obvious to many of you out there, but I recently bought a pair of black skinnies, and they're really great! I wasn't a skinny jeans person for a long time, I not sure why but it just didn't seem like my thing then. But of course, I've bought a few, no several pairs of late. This black pair is your basic black low-rise skinny jeans, and it's amazing comfortable yet totally fashionable. A nice way to start an outfit!
Candie's Signature Lip Gloss
I'll be honest, I really am not a make-up person. Occasional eye liner is really the most I ever go with. Only, even that is pretty rare! But, I do love lip gloss. I buy most colors, reds, a ton of pinks (I'm a real girly girl), purples, a few blues and an occasional green, and of course different kinds of clear/ shimmer ones. Candies has an amazing variety and the lip gloss has a long wear which is great for those into the night parties! Just kidding, but for any outing, it's a great choice!
Geneva Red Watch
I absolutely love this watch. Though I happen to be a total watch fanatic. I always have to have one with me at all times. (I go a little crazy when I don't know the time for some weird reason.) And I have about maybe five at the moment and of course I'd love get a few more in the future. This red one is such a great statement piece for so many different outfits. According to my mom, it will get as much attention as Big Ben! Hah...Well, I guess that's kind of the point with a watch like this. My watch is actually a little different from the picture, I couldn't find a picture of mine. The dial of my watch has no numbers, only roman numerals, and I think it is slightly bigger. A statement watch is a great way to bring personality into an outfit especially if someone isn't much of a jewelry person. It's a totally functional yet fashionable piece!
Hope you enjoyed this post. I'll have another one up soon!
Have a great weekend :)
So, there's really not much to tell. I'm a person of many interests, and enjoy talking to others about theirs.
