someone else's behavior,

your own reaction."
"You cannot control someone else's behavior, you can only control your own reaction." It's easy to get angry and/or upset and use that to justify your following thoughts and actions. We sometimes hope that by acting a particular way, we can initiate change in others. But, people are not like that. We cannot force someone to like us, or to treat us the way we wish to be treated. Everyone has control of themselves and no one else. If we all used our self-control to better ourselves and control our actions and reactions, it will cause our interactions with others to improve, leading to both internal and external development.
