Getting taken for granted hurts, plain and simple. It's natural to feel forgotten, used, or even betrayed/cheated in some cases. And sometimes, it's not that you want anything big but just a simple acknowledgment that they thought of you. Even just an occasional text wishing you good morning can make all the difference, and you feel like the other person cares too.
So you may be wondering where I'm going with this. I think that the best thing you can do when you feel this way to remember the people who are always there for you, the ones that you accidentally take for granted. Knowing how it can hurt should motivate you to show everyone who you care about that you care. And remember, it doesn't have to be big to be meaningful.
